About Association of Beverage Machinery Industry (ABMI)
The Association of Beverage Machinery Industry (ABMI) consists of European beverage machinery manufacturers, aiming to facilitate communication and collaboration within the industry on aspects like quality, safety, and ecological practices. By fostering cooperation, the Association seeks to enhance quality standards, ensure workplace safety, and promote the development of eco-friendly materials and production methods. It also collaborates with standardization authorities and scientific research institutions to advance knowledge in beverage packaging, benefiting consumers and the environment. Ultimately, the Association’s efforts aim to make safe beverages more accessible to a broader global audience.
The IMPackT initiative is co-coordinated by EcoVadis and ABMI with aim to accelerate the uptake of sustainable practices by fostering strong collaboration between trading partners and amplifying positive impacts across their value chains.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is IMPackT’s highest decision-making body. It comprises Executive Level representatives from each IMPackT member company. Every member assigned a program referent to IMPackT. The members meet monthly or quarterly, depending on the projects in progress.
Coordination office
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee serves as the governing body for IMPackT. It consists of a representative from each IMPackT member. The committee convenes on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the ongoing projects.
The IMPackT Initiative currently has 3 members.
Prospective members shall
- Fit the industry profile of the members of the Sector Initiative
- Have a sustainable procurement vision and a first set of associated time-bound goals
- Sign an EcoVadis Enterprise Agreement with the Sector Initiative membership addendum
Application process
- Interview with EcoVadis Sector Initiative Program Manager
- Conduct the EcoVadis Sustainable Procurement Maturity Assessment
- CPO/CSO Interview with the EcoVadis Sector Initiative Director
- CPO/CSO presentation to the Initiative Members
- Potential objections from existing members will be vetted by the EcoVadis senior management team and must be evidence based
